The Town Council of Santa Margarida i els Monjos has opened the submission period for the 43rd Sant Raimon de Penyafort Art Exhibition and the 11th Children's Art Exhibition, marking new editions with various categories and prizes.

The 43rd Sant Raimon de Penyafort Art Exhibition, aimed at adults and young people, maintains its six participation categories: drawing, painting, ceramics, sculpture, photography, and digital illustration. For five of these categories, a specific section for participants aged 12 to 17 is established. All works must be original, unpublished, and self-authored, with free choice of theme and technique.
Submissions can be made at the Mas Catarro cultural center from December 14th to 18th, between 3 PM and 8 PM, and on Saturday, December 17th, from 10 AM to 1 PM. Participation requires completing an online registration form. Each participant may submit up to two works per category, except for painting (one work), and can enter a maximum of two categories.
The competition offers cash prizes ranging from 100 to 650 euros, depending on the category and award, along with youth prizes and a local painting prize.
Meanwhile, the 11th Children's Art Exhibition is open to children enrolled in the municipality's schools or registered residents. The drawing competition is divided into three categories based on primary school cycles, while the youngest participants (ages 3-5) will contribute with group class projects. This year's theme is "If Kindness Were a Superpower…", with free technique and DIN A4 vertical format.
Children's artworks can be submitted through the educational centers or, for registered children not attending local schools, individually at the Citizen Attention Office. The submission deadline is December 10th, 2026, at 4:30 PM.
All submitted works will be exhibited at the Mas Catarro cultural center. The exhibition opening is scheduled for January 15th at 6:30 PM, with the awards ceremony on January 29th at 7 PM. The exhibition will be open until February 3rd, weekdays from 3 PM to 8 PM.
