The Mossos d'Esquadra arrested a 19-year-old man as the alleged perpetrator of a cyclist's death this Sunday morning in Subirats (Alt Penedès), after testing positive for substances.

Traffic agents administered breathalyzer and drug tests to the driver, who tested positive in both instances. The fatal accident occurred at kilometer 4.8 of the C-243a road, which connects Sant Sadurní d'Anoia and Vilafranca del Penedès.
The Servei Català de Trànsit (SCT) received notification of the incident at 7:48 a.m. on Sunday. The cyclist died as a result of the collision.
This marks the third fatal victim recorded this year on Catalonia's interurban road network, according to data provided by traffic authorities.
