The full reopening, effective from April 1, allows for the resumption of all services and courses, including the multi-purpose and teaching pools, water cannons, solarium, water area (steam, dry sauna, and thermal loungers), and all changing rooms. This milestone marks the return to normality for the approximately 5,000 weekly users and 3,200 subscribers of the facility.
The flooding caused by the DANA particularly affected the machine room, which was completely submerged in mud, causing significant damage to all electrical and purification equipment. The necessary renovation to repair this damage has involved an investment of 3 million euros.
The recovery process has been carried out in stages. A few weeks after the DANA episode, the outdoor pools were reopened. Subsequently, on September 20, the paddle tennis courts were put back into operation. In October, the changing rooms and the dry area reopened, which includes the fitness and physical activity rooms, as well as the children's reception area. The last phase before the full reopening began before Christmas, with the indoor recreational pool becoming operational for free use, directed aquatic activities, and rehabilitation sessions.
The patience, understanding, and support of the users during these months have been fundamental to overcoming this situation.
With the full reopening, the facilities will operate from 6 AM to 11 PM Monday to Friday, from 8 AM to 8 PM on Saturdays, and from 8 AM to 2 PM on Sundays, thus restoring their complete schedule.
