This year's main redevelopment project will be Sant Pere street, one of the city's major arteries. The works, scheduled to begin in May, will be carried out in phases to minimize the impact on daily activity, following the governing team's philosophy of 'a improvement for every neighborhood'.
Furthermore, the City Council expects to finalize works on Santa Magdalena and Bisbe Estalella streets in April. Work also continues on key infrastructure, such as the construction of the new Joana Raspall Library, expected to be ready around November, and the rehabilitation of the Teatre Cal Bolet, planned in two phases during 2026.
Regarding housing, projects are being drafted for new affordable housing blocks on Gelida and Dolors Piera streets, which have been incorporated into the 50,000 housing program promoted by the Generalitat. The City Council is also seeking solutions to facilitate parking for residents affected by the Sant Pere street works, negotiating adjusted-price spaces in the underground Rambla parking lot.
