The formalization of the adherence took place at the Vilafranca del Penedès City Council, with the signing by the Minister of Linguistic Policy, F. Xavier Vila i Moreno, and the Mayor, Francisco Romero i Gamarra. This initiative, promoted by the Government of the Generalitat, seeks to guarantee the vitality of Catalan in all areas of daily life.

We will build the future of the language together, step by step, with many small measures."
The institutional visit of the Minister began with an official reception, where he was welcomed by Mayor Romero and the Councilor for Culture, International Relations, and Linguistic Policy, Àngels Dalmau. Prior to the signing ceremony, a working meeting was held focusing on the deployment of the Pact at the municipal level.

This adherence is part of the Government's strategy to actively involve local authorities in this national agreement. The National Pact for the Language establishes a framework for collaboration to address the current challenges of Catalan and reinforce its role as a language of social cohesion and opportunities.
