The Pyrenees Early Music Festival, FeMAP, has concluded its fifteenth edition with notable success, holding its final concert at the Sant Pere de Camprodon Monastery. This performance achieved a 'sold out' for tickets, marking the second concert with all seats sold in the Ripollès region, which hosted five of the festival's total concerts.
The director of FeMAP, Alfons Pérez, has confirmed that the Ripollès region will continue to be part of the festival for the sixteenth edition, scheduled for early summer next year. Pérez positively assessed this year's edition, highlighting that two of the five concerts held in the region sold out, while the rest achieved between 70% and 80% occupancy.
In addition to Camprodon and Llanars, which sold out all tickets, the festival also visited Sant Joan de les Abadesses, Campdevànol, and Molló. In total, FeMAP traversed thirty-six Pyrenean municipalities, offering fifty early music concerts performed by twenty-six groups over two months.
The festival also emphasized its social aspect, FeMAP Social, aiming to bring music closer to groups with reduced mobility or limitations. The response from the public and musicians to this initiative has been very positive, both in residences and within the Ripollès region.
FeMAP began its program on July 3rd and concluded on August 23rd, with the performance at the monastery of Camprodon serving as the final highlight of the edition.
