Agents from the Coexistence and Administrative Police Unit of the Guardia Urbana de L’Hospitalet and the Guardia Civil intervened last week in a supermarket in La Torrassa after detecting numerous administrative and sanitary deficiencies.

The inspection, carried out on Santiago Apóstol street, concluded with the drafting of a police-administrative report detailing a wide range of infractions affecting food safety and commercial regulations.

Among the most serious irregularities found were the sale of frozen products with widely exceeded expiration dates and food items lacking labeling or traceability.

In addition to food deficiencies, products were found without the mandatory seal or required information. Authorities also seized 400 lighters of dubious origin and bottled beverages lacking branding or sanitary control.
The report also reflected serious documentation shortages and hygiene deficiencies in the workspace. Finally, the unlicensed sale of condoms was confirmed, including open boxes without the corresponding protective packaging.
