The Alt Urgell has launched in 2026 an evolution of its purple points, broadening their scope to include an anti-racist and intersectional perspective in the prevention and care of various forms of violence in public spaces.

These spaces, traditionally focused on gender-based violence, now incorporate a broader approach to address discrimination and aggression linked to factors such as origin, ethnicity, or other axes of inequality. This adaptation recognizes the complexity of violence that can affect individuals in festive and leisure environments.
The purple points will continue to offer information, awareness, and support to potential victims, while promoting attitudes of respect and coexistence. With this expansion, they are consolidated as more inclusive, safe, and prepared spaces to respond to diverse realities within the region.
The management of the service will be carried out by the entity GR Feminista, recognized for its expertise in accompanying and preventing gender-based violence and discrimination. This collaboration ensures a professional and specialized approach to addressing the needs of citizens.
The campaign began on Saturday, May 2, at the Festa Major d'Aravell and will continue throughout the year, with a total of 17 purple points distributed across different municipalities in the Alt Urgell. This territorial expansion seeks to increase the reach of the service and strengthen preventive work throughout the region, taking another step towards building festive and community spaces free of violence and based on respect and inclusion.
