The Andorra-La Seu d'Urgell Airport will begin the expansion of its facilities this year with the construction of nine hangars to meet the high demand for space by 2026.

The expansion project involves the construction of these nine hangars on a surface area of 7,200 square meters. Currently, the airport already has nineteen spaces allocated, and the available areas are fully occupied or under construction, justifying the need for this expansion.
Operationally, during 2025, a crucial agreement was reached with paragliding operators in the Organyà area. This coordination, carried out with the DGAC, AESA, and the Federació Aèria Catalana, will allow both aerial activities to be compatible.
The technical solution adopted following this agreement anticipates the implementation of air traffic control at the airport starting this summer. Furthermore, the GRAE (Special Actions Support Group) have begun work to build their new facilities, with the intention of basing a team of 45 people there.
