The play, which recounts a turbulent episode of medieval Catalonia during the crusade against the Cathars, also explores the love story between Esclaramonda and Cercamón. The performance features around twenty actors and actresses, aged between 16 and 70, accompanied by two live musicians.
The shows will start at 10 PM with free admission. Prior to the performance, from 8 PM, attendees can enjoy food and drink services at the venue, allowing for dinner in Vilamitjana before the spectacle begins.
This cultural initiative is a collaboration between the Consell Comarcal de l’Alt Urgell and the Municipal Decentralized Entity of Vila i Vall de Castellbò. It is organized by Puc Fer Teatre and directed by Irina Robles. Support also comes from the Town Council of Montferrer i Castellbò, the Institut d’Estudis Ilerdencs, and the Provincial Council of Lleida.
The Consell Comarcal de l’Alt Urgell highlights that Cercamón integrates literature, historical memory, heritage, and popular culture, emphasizing the territory and its people.
