The incident occurred around 11:45 AM. The injured cyclist's companion alerted emergency services, reporting that the victim had dislocated their shoulder.
Initially, a ground unit from the Generalitat Firefighters of la Seu d’Urgell was dispatched. However, due to the severe pain the injured person was experiencing, a medical helicopter from the SEM (Emergency Medical Service) was activated to expedite the rescue.
After being airlifted to the airport in la Seu, the cyclist was transferred to an SEM ambulance for transport to the hospital.
