The town of Estamariu becomes the stage this week for an international artistic residency preparing the inaugural concert of the Bachcelona Festival, featuring dozens of musicians.

A group of thirty-seven performers from twelve different countries has traveled to the Alt Urgell region for a training and rehearsal stay between July 3 and July 7. The musical direction of this project is led by a renowned specialist in early music.
The program includes a collaboration with three choirs from La Seu d'Urgell, which will take part in a session dedicated to Bach's cantatas. This activity will take place on July 6 at 3:00 PM at the church of Sant Vicenç.
The initiative is the result of an agreement between the Bachcelona Akademie and the Fundació Planes Corts. The main goal is to promote access to culture in rural areas, allowing young artists to experience local heritage and use the facilities available in the area.
Throughout the weekend, those interested will be able to attend various rehearsals open to the public at both the Espai Joan Planes and the church of Sant Vicenç.
