The event, the second round of the world calendar, saw Garcia (KTM), the reigning world champion, emerge as the most consistent rider. His performance was aided by setbacks experienced by two of his main competitors, Britons Brad Freeman (Beta) and Steven Holcombe (Sherco).
Freeman, who initially led the first heat, suffered a spectacular crash during the Enduro Test, losing valuable time and later being hospitalized in Manresa. Meanwhile, Holcombe was disqualified after requiring mechanical assistance during one of the timed sections, an action not permitted by the rules.
Capitalizing on these incidents, Josep Garcia took the lead and crossed the finish line with a time of 1:03.50, marking his third overall victory of the year and triumph in the E1 category. Behind him, New Zealander Hamish MacDonald (Sherco) finished second, winning in E2, and Italian Andrea Verona (KTM) completed the podium.
In other categories, Frenchman Romain Dagna won in juniors, Italian Pietro Scardina dominated the Youth category, and American Rachel Gutish was victorious in the women's competition.
