39 counterfeit bags seized in La Seu d'Urgell valued at 11,500 euros

The Civil Guard has seized 39 allegedly counterfeit bags, valued at over 11,000 euros, from a clothing and accessories store in La Seu d'Urgell. An investigation has been opened into an individual for a suspected industrial property offense.

The police operation, carried out on August 11th by members of the Fiscal and Borders Section, is part of a plan to detect products infringing industrial property rights. During the inspection, officers identified irregularities in the import and invoicing of items.
Imitation bags of various models from a registered brand, including tote bag and crossbody styles, were seized. The retail price for these items was 850 euros each, with an estimated market value, according to the original brand, of 11,500 euros.
As a result of the operation, judicial proceedings have been initiated for an alleged industrial property offense. Investigations are ongoing to determine the exact origin of the seized products and fully clarify the facts.
