La Seu d'Urgell has officially launched its Neighborhood Plan with the approval of a set of measures aimed at improving the Historic Center. Three grant lines for 2026 have been approved, with a total allocation of €225,000, focused on building rehabilitation.
These financial aids aim to revitalize the old town and support property owners in improving their buildings. Mayor Joan Barrera highlighted that these funds represent a firm step towards transforming the Historic Center, seeking a space that is "vibrant, well-maintained, and accessible to everyone," helping to enhance facades, energy efficiency, and habitability.
“"With these €225,000 in aid, we are taking the first firm step to transform and revitalize our Historic Center. We want an old town that is alive, cared for, and accessible to all. Therefore, we are directly helping residents improve their building facades, energy efficiency, and habitability."
Barrera emphasized that the Neighborhood Plan is already a reality in the city and that work will continue on preserving heritage and improving citizens' quality of life.
Priority actions include facade rehabilitation (with €62,500), improving building energy efficiency (with €81,250), and enhancing habitability and accessibility (with €81,250). These agreements sum up to a €225,000 economic injection from the municipal budget.
The City Council will soon publish the complete bases and deadlines for submitting applications through its official channels.
