The La Seu d'Urgell City Council has joined the Plançó cultural circuit in 2026, along with eight other municipalities in Ponent and the Pyrenees, to promote youth involvement in performing arts.

The Plançó project, also known as Circuit Escena Jove Ponent Pirineu, was established in 2021 within the Public System of Scenic and Musical Equipment of Catalonia (SPEEM). This new phase, described as “renewed and sustainable,” relies on cooperation between city councils to consolidate access to culture in areas far from major cultural circuits.

"We aim not only to bring young people to the theater but to give them a voice so they can be part of the cultural process and feel like active agents."

The network’s activities, which encourage youth to experience culture in a critical and participatory way, are managed by the Barcelona-based company Xinampa Cultural. In the Alt Pirineu region, in addition to La Seu d'Urgell, the municipalities of Tremp, Sort, and el Pont de Suert have confirmed their participation.
From the Lleida plain, Agramunt, Guissona, Tàrrega, les Borges Blanques, and Juneda are joining. Promoters are working to expand this network, although they have set a maximum of 15 towns for this new stage of Plançó.
The first activity in the capital of Alt Urgell is scheduled for May, with the specific work and date yet to be confirmed. The first confirmed premieres are in Tremp on February 6 with the urban dance show Hipstory, by the company Brodas Bros, and in Tàrrega on April 10 with Nua (Radiografia d'un trastorn).
