The La Seu d'Urgell City Council approved on Monday the transfer of two municipal buildings to the Generalitat to house regional government delegations in the Alt Pirineu.

The measure involves the Ca l'Armenter and the Old Courts buildings. The goal is to centralize services from Territory, Agriculture, and Foreign Action departments in the historic center.

"This transfer is not just a real estate operation, but a clear commitment to strengthening La Seu's role as a regional capital."

Joan Barrera · Mayor of La Seu d'Urgell
The council approved the Ca l'Armenter transfer unanimously, while the Old Courts building move was supported by Compromís, Junts, and CUP.
The Old Courts building, located at Pati Palau, covers over one thousand square meters. This agreement allows the Generalitat to invest in renovating these emblematic local spaces.
