The Alt Urgell region commemorates June 28th with a free cultural program aimed at advocating for LGTBIQ+ diversity and fostering a more inclusive society.

Cultural activities celebrating LGTBIQ+ diversity in Alt Urgell have already commenced. On the 6th, in Peramola, the performance "SIS: les dones de Jaume I" was presented, featuring Ofèlia Drags. The program continues this Tuesday, the 23rd, in Coll de Nargó with "Escandalosament Persones", by Orientación Colectiva Loli, at 8 PM in the Town Hall square. Finally, on Saturday the 27th, at 8 PM, Ofèlia Drags will return to the stage in la Seu d'Urgell with "La Divina Ofèlia", while Xavi Pérez will star in "Com Hiat" at Passeig Joan Brudieu.
All these artistic and cultural proposals are free and open to everyone. The aim is to create spaces for advocacy, visibility, and celebration of LGTBIQ+ diversity within the region, thereby contributing to a more inclusive and respectful society.
The June 28th commemoration serves as a reminder of the historical struggles that have led to advancements in rights and freedoms. Simultaneously, it reaffirms the collective commitment to combat LGTBI-phobic discrimination and violence that still affect society.
The Consell Comarcal de l’Alt Urgell encourages all citizens to participate in this commemoration. The intention is to join a program that values LGTBIQ+ diversity and to continue building a freer, more inclusive, and proud Alt Urgell, where all individuals can live and express themselves freely.
