The mayors of Montellà i Martinet and El Pont de Bar demanded an integral intervention on the N-260 highway this February due to the degraded road conditions between Cerdanya and Alt Urgell.

Winter snowfalls and years of wear have caused numerous potholes to appear on the N-260 highway, particularly on the stretch connecting Cerdanya and Alt Urgell. In some areas, the road surface is so poor that it resembles a forest track more than a national highway, causing alarm in Montellà i Martinet and El Pont de Bar.

"The potholes keep reappearing and, therefore, a solution is needed. A neighbor's trailer even detached from his car due to the state of the road."

Rosa Andorrà · Mayor of El Pont de Bar
Mayors Roser Bombardó and Rosa Andorrà are calling for an urgent intervention to fix the multiple potholes that have appeared over the last two months. Although the Government Sub-delegation in Lleida suggested waiting for better weather, local leaders demand a quick repair due to the danger posed to drivers and caravans.
Furthermore, both mayors lamented the delay in the installation of fiber optic cables along the N-260. Despite an agreement reached a year ago to use the State highway's public domain, the deployment of the Generalitat de Catalunya network remains stalled, affecting internet connectivity in the Pyrenees region.
