Man arrested in Organyà for attempted hit-and-run and killing a dog

The suspect allegedly tried to run over a man following a dispute over unleashed dogs in a rural area.

Mossos d'Esquadra officers arrested a 47-year-old man in Organyà on February 4 after he allegedly attempted to run over another person following an argument over pets.

The incident took place around 9:00 AM on February 2 in the garden area of the Alt Urgell town. According to police reports, the conflict began when a couple walking three dogs encountered the suspect, whose animals were unleashed.
Following the verbal altercation, the suspect drove his vehicle at high speed toward the victim. While the man managed to jump out of the way, the car struck the pets, resulting in the death of one dog and injuries to the others.
The suspect, who reportedly made a second attempt to hit the victim, faces charges of attempted homicide, assault, and animal cruelty. He appeared before the Seu d'Urgell court on February 5.
