The project, with a budget exceeding 450,000 euros, focused on creating a central turning lane and corresponding ramps to facilitate vehicle movements and enhance safety at this busy intersection.
The primary goal of this intervention is to improve road safety and the junction's functionality, optimizing user maneuvers and overall accessibility in the area.
The works included widening and improving the layout of the access road to Pinell de Solsonès, implementing waiting lanes for left turns, and creating acceleration and deceleration lanes. The islands and the central lane have also been paved and painted for increased visibility.
Additionally, the section of the C-14 road has been reconfigured to include two one-meter-wide shoulders, the priority at the end of the slow lane has been changed, and the road's drainage system has been improved.
