The Pyrenees and Pre-Pyrenees experienced another day of intense storms today. The most active front delivered heavy rainfall, especially in the western sector and the Pre-Pyrenees. Between 6:00 PM and 8:00 PM, firefighters received approximately thirty calls, mainly for fallen trees, with no injuries reported.
Civil Protection issued an alert for heavy rain, urging caution among the public. The showers were accompanied by thunderstorms and, in some areas, severe weather phenomena such as hail.
Locations like Organyà endured a strong storm with lightning, thunder, hail, and rain. In Vallter, hail blanketed the landscape, and the Camprodon valley saw significant rainfall, with 62.5mm in Setcases and 34.1mm in Tregurà. In Boí (Alta Ribagorça), 36.1 liters per square meter accumulated in just thirty minutes.
The storm also caused road disruptions, temporarily closing the C-14 between kilometers 164 and 167 in Alt Urgell, between Organyà and Ribera d’Urgellet, due to a hailstorm. The road was reopened half an hour later.
