Catalan rider Josep Garcia claimed victory on the first day of the Spanish Enduro Grand Prix, held in Oliana, solidifying his lead in the World Championship.

The reigning world champion, Josep Garcia (KTM), demonstrated his consistency in the second round of the Enduro World Championship, which is being held for the second consecutive year in Oliana. His victory was aided by the misfortunes of two of his main competitors, Britons Brad Freeman (Beta) and Steven Holcombe (Sherco).
Freeman, who had led the first heat, suffered a spectacular fall in the second special, the Enduro Test, causing him to lose a crucial minute. Despite finishing the day in seventh place and winning his category (E3), he had to be admitted to Manresa Hospital, casting doubt on his participation in the second day. Meanwhile, Holcombe was disqualified for requiring mechanical assistance during one of the timed sections.
Garcia seized these circumstances to take the lead and gave no quarter to his rivals, crossing the finish line with a time of 1:03.50. This marks his third overall victory of the year and his first in the E1 category, thereby strengthening his leading position.
Following Garcia, New Zealander Hamish MacDonald (Sherco) secured second place, approximately 45 seconds behind, achieving a partial victory in E2. Italian Andrea Verona (KTM) completed the podium with a difference of 46.30 seconds. Frenchman Zachary Pichon (Boano) finished fourth, and Italian Samuele Bernardini (Redmoto) rounded out the Top 5.
In the junior categories, Frenchman Romain Dagna emerged victorious, while Italian Pietro Scardina dominated the Youth category. In the women's competition, American Rachel Gutish was the winner.
