The Generalitat has announced the tender for two plots ceded by the Ajuntament de la Seu d'Urgell. La Seu d'Urgell is the only municipality in the Alt Pirineu and the mountain regions included in this initial call. The land, located in the new urban area of Horta del Valira, is designated for the construction of up to 100 subsidized housing units.
“"will serve to partially alleviate the problems related to housing prices that have existed for some time in La Seu, as is also the case in other cities in the Pyrenees and Catalonia."
This local project is part of a larger Government plan encompassing 37 plots across Catalonia, aiming to construct a total of 1,940 public flats. The local council confirmed that 30% of these future homes are planned to be allocated specifically to young people, with detailed requirements to be specified later.
The tender conditions grant successful bidders a 75-year surface right. They will be responsible for the promotion, construction, comprehensive management of rental contracts, and maintenance of the building throughout this period. Selection criteria emphasize the economic plan, construction methodology, and social management strategy.
