The Local Government Board of the La Seu d'Urgell City Council approved on Monday the acceptance of a grant from the Consell Català de l'Esport to renovate the changing rooms at the Emili Vicente Municipal Football Field.

The approved subsidy amounts to 248,865 euros, covering a significant part of the total project budget, which stands at 338,912 euros. The tender process and subsequent awarding of the rehabilitation works will begin shortly.
This rehabilitation is crucial for updating the facility, which sees intensive use by four local entities: La Seu FC, the Orgèlia Football School, the Futbol Club Pirineus, and the Club Esportiu Ciutat La Seu, in addition to serving for tournaments and sports camps.

"Now they will be new, accessibility and energy consumption will be improved, and this will benefit the comfort of users and athletes."

Joan Barrera · Mayor of La Seu d'Urgell
The Government Board also accepted two additional grants from the Consell Català de l'Esport: 13,128 euros to install a dividing curtain at the Municipal Sports Center and 25,410 euros to replace the current lighting with LED lights, improving energy efficiency.
These investments are part of the Shock Plan for the improvement of the Basic Network of Sports Facilities of Catalonia, coordinated by the Sports Department of the Generalitat de Catalunya. The plan has a total budget of 120 million euros between 2025 and 2029 and is primarily aimed at urgent actions.
