The council reminds that until October 19th, the electoral roll can be consulted at the municipal offices of the Casa de la Vila or via the INE website, requiring a DNI, passport, or driving license for claims. Registration on the roll is necessary to exercise the right to vote.
The deadline to request a postal vote will extend until November 19th, ten days before in-person voting. This procedure can be done in person at Correos (Post Office), presenting your DNI, or online using an electronic DNI or digital certificate.
The postal voting documentation, including ballots, envelopes, and the census registration certificate, will be sent to homes between November 9th and 22nd. Once received, voters must choose a ballot, place it in the voting envelope, and then put this into the larger envelope along with the registration certificate. The certified postal vote must be sent by November 25th from a Correos office. It's important to note that once requested, in-person voting will no longer be possible.
Spanish citizens residing abroad will receive the official documentation between October 24th and 30th, and the ballots between November 4th and 8th (with a possible extension). They can also download ballots from the INE website.
Key dates in the electoral calendar include the dissolution of the Courts and the call for elections on October 6th, the publication of candidacies in the BOE (Official State Gazette) on October 28th, the start of the campaign on November 13th, the reflection day on November 28th, and finally, the general elections on November 29th.
