The Department of Territory has tendered the drafting of the project to condition and improve a section of over 15 kilometers of the N-260 between Perves and El Pont de Suert, with an estimated investment of 10 MEUR for the works.

The tender for the project's drafting is for 400,000 euros and has a 9-month deadline. This action is part of the agreement signed between the Department and the Ministry of Transport and Sustainable Mobility to improve the functionality of the Pyrenean Axis. The objective is to update the road axis to enhance its functionality and safety, thereby promoting territorial cohesion.
The agreement foresees a set of actions on the N-260, a state-owned road, which will be executed by the Generalitat and financed by the State, with a total investment of 260 MEUR until 2033. The action plan for the Pyrenean Axis, to be developed mainly in the province of Lleida, includes pavement rehabilitation, safety improvements, and new infrastructure or conditioning works.
In addition to the tendered project, the Department is drafting studies and additional projects between El Pont de Suert and La Pobla de Segur. These include informative and environmental impact studies for a new corridor between El Pont de Suert and Xerallo (Sarroca de Bellera), with a variant of Perves valued at 150 M€ and 6 km in length. The rehabilitation of the bridge over the Bòssia river in Senterada, the elimination of the traffic light at the Viu Tunnel, and pavement reinforcement and fiber optic extension between La Pobla de Segur and Senterada are also planned, with works tender expected in 2027.
Concurrently, the Generalitat is working on other projects within the N-260 Action Plan between El Pont de Suert and Puigcerdà, covering more than 160 kilometers.
