The Pirineu365 mountain resorts, managed by Ferrocarrils de la Generalitat de Catalunya (FGC), have concluded an exceptional snow season, exceeding one million visitors for the first time with a total of 1,018,801 people.

The six resorts comprising the group (La Molina, Vall de Núria, Vallter, Boí Taüll, Espot, and Port Ainé) were operational from the Puríssima Long Weekend until this Easter Monday, offering up to 124 days of snow sports and a wide range of complementary activities. This achievement positions them among the best in Spain in terms of attendance.

"This has been an extraordinary season in terms of snow precipitation, which has led to immense work by our resort teams to have them ready. Many people have enjoyed our resorts, skiers have had a great time and returned, and I believe it has been a successful season with extraordinary figures."

The president of FGC, Carles Ruiz Novella, highlighted the positive impact of this growth on the GDP of the regions where the resorts are located, representing 11% of the total. He also announced preparations for the summer season, aiming to maintain the record-breaking visitor trend, solidifying the Pirineu365 project as an attractive year-round destination.
The key to success was the abundant snowfall, present from the beginning to the end of the season. Exceptional snow depths were recorded, such as 673 meters at Vallter and 578 meters at Boí Taüll, figures not seen in the last 10 years. This abundance attracted a large number of skiers and visitors, who enjoyed not only skiing but also gastronomic offers, rides on snow groomers, recreational parks, and Après Ski activities.
Among the notable innovations, the new Flexipass system allowed 3,370 people to ski for 13,726 days across the six resorts, eliminating the need for advance ticket purchases. Furthermore, the resorts continued to be a benchmark for school skiing, hosting 157,500 students through programs like Esport Blanc Escolar and white weeks. 53 days of official competitions were also held, including the Ski Mountaineering World Cup at Boí Taüll and the Spanish Alpine Ski Championships at La Molina.
The complementary offer was a fundamental pillar, with 36 dining establishments serving 448,191 meals, and experiences such as lift rides (91,798 people) and recreational parks (38,358 people). With the snow season concluded, the Pirineu365 resorts are now preparing for summer, aiming to de-seasonalize activity and offer proposals throughout the year in the Catalan Pyrenees.
