The Calaf City Council has opened, for the second year, the call for financial aid for transport expenses for students pursuing post-compulsory studies outside the municipality.

The initiative, with a maximum budget of 6,000 euros for the 2026-2027 academic year, aims to facilitate access to higher education and promote equal opportunities among students registered in Calaf.
The grants are intended for individuals registered in Calaf for at least one year, enrolled in official full-time studies (baccalaureate, vocational training, university degrees, higher artistic studies) that require regular travel outside the municipality. The aid will cover part of public transport costs such as buses, trains, or metro.
The individual amount of each grant will be determined based on justified transport expenses, the applicant's score, the total number of estimated applications, and budgetary availability. Economic, family, and social criteria will be considered, including family income, distance to the educational center, and status as a large or single-parent family.
The application period will be from October 8th to 20th. Applications can be submitted through the City Council's electronic headquarters or in person at the municipal registry. Required documents include the application form, proof of enrollment, family income documentation, and bank account details.
Once the submission period closes, the City Council will resolve the call within a maximum of 10 calendar days, with the resolution published on the electronic notice board.
