The incident occurred in the lanes heading towards Barcelona, near exit 549. Although both directions were initially stopped, traffic heading towards Lleida has now been reopened. Vehicles bound for Barcelona are being diverted via exit 549, where traffic jams have formed starting from Jorba.

Eight units from the Bombers de la Generalitat de Catalunya are at the scene, working to extricate the driver of the damaged vehicle. The severity of the accident necessitated a complex operation to free the trapped individual.

Aerial images released by Trànsit show the scale of the accident, with the truck overturned and part of its cargo scattered on the road. The highway remains closed in the direction of Barcelona, causing significant complications for drivers on this route.
