The Meteorological Service of Catalonia (SMC) has issued an intensity rain warning with a forecast of up to 60mm in 3h in several Catalan regions, starting from midday on Saturday, October 17th.

From Saturday midday, rainfall intensity exceeding 20mm in 30 minutes is expected in Central Catalonia, the coastal and pre-coastal areas of the Barcelona province, and the northeast regions (excluding Alt and Baix Empordà). Attention is focused on the inland northeast regions, where the probability has increased.
During Saturday evening and night, intense rain may also affect the Central coast and pre-coastal areas, from Tarragonès to Selva, with particular attention to the Garraf, Baix Llobregat, Barcelonès, and Vallès Occidental regions. These precipitations could extend into Sunday morning, October 18th, in the Tarragonès, Baix Penedès, Garraf, and Baix Llobregat regions, albeit with less intensity.
Additionally, the SMC has issued a warning for rainfall intensity of 60mm in 3h, also starting from Saturday midday. This warning affects the northeast interior, the northern part of the central coast and pre-coastal areas, and eastern Central Catalonia. In the evening and night, it will extend to the entire central coast and pre-coastal areas (from Tarragonès to Selva), especially in the Alt and Baix Penedès, Garraf, Baix Llobregat, Barcelonès, and Vallès Occidental regions.
