This integration marks a significant step for Cal Blay, which incorporates the restaurant El Kubb, now renamed Soliver, and the Sesoliveres events space in Igualada. Both venues were previously managed by Grup Jardí under the direction of Manel Pla.
The move into Anoia holds a special connection for Cal Blay’s CEO, Santi Carda, due to his sports career history in the region. Cal Blay is a family business with over 40 years of history, founded in Penedès and specializing in Mediterranean cuisine, catering, and management of unique spaces.
With the incorporation of Soliver in Igualada, Cal Blay reinforces its commitment to quality gastronomy, proximity, and excellence in the event experience.
The group currently operates ten of its own restaurants, including Cal Blay Orígens and La Masia d’Esplugues, in addition to the Hotel Boutique Font de la Canya in Avinyonet del Penedès. The new Soliver restaurant will feature a culinary proposal rooted in the territory, with menus based on local products, and will expand its offerings with vermouths and activities like musical calçotades.
