The Catalan Government has unveiled its 2026 budget proposal, which includes a 36.9 million euro investment for the Anoia region to improve public services and infrastructure.

Key projects in Igualada include 7.8 million euros for the undergrounding of the FGC train station and 4.5 million euros for the local hospital. The plan also allocates funds for 36 new public housing units and a new base for the Agents Rurals forest rangers.
Regional transport and water management are also prioritized, with significant funds dedicated to road maintenance and water supply improvements in municipalities like Masquefa.
