The Parliament of Catalonia approved the amendment to the Trade Law, allowing the Òdena City Council to transform the former Scorpia nightclub sector into a new residential and economic hub.

The approval of the modification to the Trade Law, featuring a specific amendment for the municipality of Òdena, ends more than fifteen years of waiting and bureaucratic obstacles for the development of this key area. This step is considered a turning point for Òdena and the Conca d'Òdena region.
The strategic project plans for the construction of nearly 30,000 m² of residential floor space, including a significant reserve of protected housing, crucial for helping young people and families settle in the municipality. Additionally, over 14,000 m² will be dedicated to commerce and leisure, and 2,600 m² to catering.

"This approval is an act of justice for Òdena. The City Council reaffirms its commitment to seize this opportunity to improve the quality of life for all citizens."

Jaume Xaus · Mayor of Òdena
This transformation will not only generate employment and boost the local economy but also includes the complete reurbanization of the area, ending previous degradation and improving connectivity with neighboring municipalities.
