The Conca d'Òdena Association has unveiled a community-driven program featuring nearly sixty activities to commemorate March 8th, International Women's Day, across seven municipalities in the Anoia region.

Equality councilors from Igualada, Vilanova del Camí, Santa Margarida de Montbui, Òdena, la Pobla de Claramunt, Jorba, and Castellolí have coordinated an agenda that will run throughout the month. The initiative aims to strengthen the region's commitment to fighting gender-based violence and promoting women's rights.
Key events include the Nativitat Yarza Conference on March 10th at the Ateneu Municipal Theatre in Igualada, focusing on artificial intelligence and gender. Additionally, the regional capital will host the central event of the Generalitat de Catalunya for the Penedès area on March 4th.
The program also features symbolic actions such as lighting public buildings in purple and displaying banners. Other highlights include a talk marking the 30th anniversary of the Dones amb Empenta organization on March 28th in Montbui, alongside various workshops, theater performances, and community walks.
