The Cloister of the Convent del Carme was the stage for the first night of the 'Juliol Circense', an initiative that promises to turn this heritage site into a hub for contemporary circus over three evenings.
The company La Córcoles opened the program with 'H', a tightrope walking performance that went beyond technique to offer a show filled with balance, sensitivity, and visual poetry, captivating the audience with its expressive force.
The program continues today with HectordelaSA and their show 'Dokum', which blends everyday objects, gestural humor, and improvisation. The festival will conclude with Kanbahiota Troup's 'La Coquette', a production combining clowning and acrobatics.
Following this initial circus event, next week the same venue will host a new edition of 'Folk en Viu', from July 14th to 16th, featuring performances by groups such as Alosa, Punt de Malura, and Trèbol, paired with wines from the Tarragona Designation of Origin.
