The incident occurred when a patrol observed a vehicle driving in the Rec area with a damaged wheel, emitting sparks. Officers attempted to stop the driver, but he fled and ended up colliding with a parked car.

After the impact, the man tried to escape on foot but was intercepted by officers shortly after. Upon confirming the car was not his property, the Local Police proceeded with his arrest and initiated criminal proceedings for vehicle theft and damages.

Additionally, the detainee was cited for a positive alcohol test. The police have begun the necessary procedures to return the vehicle to its rightful owner.
