The town of El Bruc hosted a new edition of the Mercat d'Origen this Sunday, March 15, an event organized by the Montserrat Rural Park to promote local economy and gastronomy.

Under sunny skies, the market stalls offered a wide variety of zero-mile products. The initiative aims to strengthen the bond between local farmers and consumers, highlighting the agricultural value of the Anoia region at the foot of the Montserrat mountain.
Educational workshops were a major highlight, including a traditional 'mató' cheese-making session led by Anna from La Petita Ànima creamery. Additionally, the group Beeodiversitat taught visitors about beekeeping through beeswax candle-making activities.
Cultural activities included the guided tour El llegat dels Casas, showcasing the town's Modernist architecture. The festive atmosphere was enhanced by DJ Sánchez and street performances by Petra Clown, making it a successful day for families and food enthusiasts alike.
