The Junts parliamentary group has filed a resolution in the Parliament of Catalonia urging the Generalitat to immediately tender the Can Catassús wastewater treatment plant in Sant Sadurní d'Anoia.

The proposal demands that the executive project be drafted and tendered before the end of 2026. MP Montse Ortiz has requested transparency regarding the 2019 agreement and the allocation of previously budgeted funds that remain unspent.

"It makes no sense to delay infrastructures that would allow the reuse of reclaimed water for vineyards after an extreme drought."

The initiative also calls for better coordination between the Catalan Water Agency (ACA) and local authorities. The plant is considered essential for public health and environmental compliance in the Penedès region.
