The Generalitat published 2025 data confirming that the Llobregat-Anoia line of Ferrocarrils de la Generalitat de Catalunya (FGC) recorded 29.4 million trips, contributing to the historic network-wide record of 100 million passengers.

The Llobregat-Anoia line closed 2025 with 29,431,763 trips, an increase of 2.8% compared to 2024. This growth, representing nearly 800,000 additional trips, is lower than the 3.4% seen on the Barcelona-Vallès line or the 9.1% on the Lleida-La Pobla de Segur line, but reflects a generalized growth trend across the entire FGC system.
The rising trend was particularly noticeable at several stations in the Bages and Anoia regions. The towns with the most significant increases were Castellbell i el Vilar (+20%), Manresa (+15.8%), Sant Vicenç de Castellet (+14.5%), Vallbona d’Anoia (+13.6%), Capellades (+9.1%), and Abrera (+8.5%).

"Ferrocarrils' demand figures are historic: for the first time, we have reached 100 million trips on the Metropolitan Lines, and on the Lleida-La Pobla line, we are chaining the fourth consecutive year of demand records with nearly 487,000 users."

Carles Ruiz Novella · President of Ferrocarrils
Beyond demand, FGC also improved its quality indices during 2025. The Llobregat-Anoia line recorded a Punctuality Index of 99.22%, exceeding 99% across all lines. The Quality Control Index stood at 99.12% for this line, maintaining a very high level of service.
