Puigpelat was instrumental in the development of secondary education in the Anoia region. She served as the principal of the Alexandre de Riquer Institute in Calaf from 1996 to 2008, where she was praised for her focus on social integration and local identity.
Throughout her career, she also helped establish schools in Igualada and Vilanova del Camí. In 2024, the school laboratory in Calaf was named in her honor as a tribute to her lifelong dedication to teaching. Her funeral will be held this Sunday in Prades de la Molsosa.
