Mireia Prat was elected the new Cap de Colla (head of the group) of the Moixiganguers d’Igualada, becoming the first woman to hold the position after the Ordinary General Assembly held on Saturday, January 24.

The election took place during the Ordinary General Assembly held in Igualada, where members approved the candidacy presented by Mireia Prat by a large absolute majority. Prior to the vote, the accounts and the activity report for 2025 were reviewed and approved.

This election marks a historic milestone for the group, as Mireia Prat becomes the first woman to lead the technical team of the Moixiganguers d’Igualada.

The technical team presented by Prat includes Jordi Còdol as the deputy Cap de Colla. This team combines members who were part of the previous technical staff with some new additions, aiming to prepare for the 2026 season.
Regarding governance, the board of directors remains unchanged to complete its mandate. The new Cap de Colla replaces Josep Castellano, who announced his decision not to continue leading the technical team after the conclusion of the 2025 season.
