The Parents Association of the Emili Vallès school in Igualada demanded this March that building repairs proceed without delay to ensure students can return by autumn.

Following the sudden closure of the original building due to structural floor defects, students have moved to the La Teneria facility. While classes resumed quickly, families highlight that the temporary site lacks a playground, forcing teachers to use public city spaces for breaks.

"The real impact will be felt especially by educators and students in the management of daily life."

The Igualada City Council plans to invest 300,000 euros in the necessary structural reinforcements. The goal is to complete the works in time for the start of the next school year in September.
