The party considers it essential that the citizens of Igualada can participate directly in the decision regarding the reform of the Passeig Verdaguer, one of the city's most representative spaces. Poble Actiu argues that this space is much more than just road infrastructure, being central to social, commercial, and cultural life.
Any modification will have direct consequences on areas such as mobility, green space, local commerce, and urban coexistence. According to the group, the configuration of the Passeig could become key to advancing towards a more sustainable city, with better quality public space and friendlier mobility.

The motion proposes opening a participatory process structured in several phases. First, an informative phase with different reform options developed with technical criteria. Subsequently, open debate spaces – both in-person and online – aimed at residents, merchants, and entities are planned.
Finally, Poble Actiu proposes a citizen consultation with democratic guarantees, combining electronic voting and in-person points. The municipal group urges the local government to commit to shared decision-making, noting that citizen participation remains an unresolved issue in Igualada.
