Storm Kristin began causing incidents in Central Catalonia this Wednesday, resulting in three fallen trees in the Anoia region and prompting the activation of the Bombers de la Generalitat.

The meteorological phenomenon, which is accompanied by a significant drop in temperatures, has placed ten Catalan regions, including Anoia and Baix Llobregat, under a yellow warning due to the strong winds expected.
The first emergency service call-outs were concentrated in Anoia. Specifically, the Firefighters (Bombers) had to remove fallen trees in Sant Pere Sallavinera, near the BV-1033 road, as well as in the municipalities of Argençola and Jorba.
According to forecasts from Meteocat, the wind warnings will remain active throughout Wednesday morning and at least until early afternoon, as wind gusts could exceed 70 km/h in the alerted areas.
In Jorba, the Town Council reported that it continues working to ensure mobility on several rural roads that had already suffered damage and landslides due to previous storms, now compounded by the new incidents caused by Storm Kristin.
