A severe windstorm has swept through the Anoia region this Thursday, with wind speeds surpassing 100 kilometers per hour in several locations.

Data from the Pujalt Observatory confirmed a peak gust of 106 km/h in Santa Margarida de Montbui. In Igualada, local authorities activated emergency protocols early in the morning to manage multiple incidents.
Reported damages include fallen trees, collapsed walls, and damaged street signs. The Meteorological Service of Catalonia had previously issued a maximum risk alert for the area due to the predicted gale-force winds.
