The Local Police and Mossos d'Esquadra arrested three young men last week in Igualada on drug trafficking charges following a dramatic escape attempt across the rooftops of the Fàtima neighborhood.

The operation began near midnight on Verge de la Begonya street, when officers prepared to search a home suspected of being a point of sale for illegal substances.
Upon seeing the police presence, the four occupants of the apartment attempted to flee by climbing onto the rooftops and jumping between buildings. Two of the fugitives were immediately caught after falling into an adjacent building when some corrugated sheets broke beneath their feet.
The two initially detained individuals received treatment for minor injuries and were arrested. The following day, the Igualada Local Police located and arrested a third individual (aged 19, 20, and 21) who had managed to escape. Security forces continue to search for the fourth member of the group.
During the subsequent search, officers inspected the vehicle belonging to one of the accused, which was parked near the building. Inside, they confiscated 7 kilograms of marijuana and 1 kilogram of hashish.
