The town of Vilanova del Camí held a ceremony last Saturday to honor Civil Protection volunteers for their essential role in managing local emergencies and community safety.

Diplomas were awarded for operations conducted during 2024 and 2025, including forest fire containment, traffic accident assistance, and logistics during heavy rain episodes. The event was attended by local authorities and the Local Police.
A key highlight was the promotion of Montserrat Jorba to section chief. The ceremony also welcomed new members aged between 16 and 21, highlighting the growing interest among local youth in joining the volunteer force.

"I am proud of the team we have built; the young people who recently joined guarantee the continuity of the organization."
