The Hostal Canaletas, located on Avinguda Mestre Muntaner in Igualada, has established itself as a regular filming location, recently featuring in the horror and suspense film Estación Rocafort.

The establishment in the capital of Anoia has earned a prominent place in cinema history thanks to its participation in major productions. Recently, its cafeteria was used as a meeting point for a key sequence in the film Estación Rocafort, the horror and suspense movie by Luis Prieto premiered last September 6.
This decision is noteworthy, as most of the filming focuses on Barcelona, including the metro and Barceloneta beach, highlighting the importance of this location in Igualada for the creator.

The distance between Barcelona and Igualada highlights the importance of Hostal Canaletas for creators, making it a reference cinematic location.

The exterior of the Canaletas cafeteria also served as a set for the series Hache, an original Netflix production released in 2019. Furthermore, the renowned director and screenwriter Isabel Coixet chose the hotel to film part of her movie Ayer no termina nunca, presented at the Málaga Spanish Film Festival in 2013.
Besides fiction productions, the Hostal Canaletas has been a recurring location for advertising shoots. The most recent and notable case was the visit of Spanish actor Antonio Banderas, who filmed a commercial during the afternoon of May 23 this year.
