The Federation of the Historical Traditional Entourage of Igualada (FESTHI) is looking for new dancers for the new Ball de Cavallets project, whose construction is progressing ahead of the upcoming Festa Major.

The FESTHI Ordinary General Assembly was held last Thursday, January 15, at the Cotxeres in Igualada, with the participation of the board of directors and about twenty members. During the meeting, they began outlining the calendar of activities for the upcoming Festa Major (Main Festival).
The central point of the assembly was the monitoring of the new Ball de Cavallets d’Igualada (Dance of the Hobby Horses) project. The figures are currently under construction in the workshop of the Navarrese sculptor Aitor Calleja, known for having previously created the city's Gegants Vells (Old Giants) and the Drac Antic (Ancient Dragon).
FESTHI anticipates that the 'cavallets' will arrive in Igualada before the Festa Major and, to ensure the project's viability, is actively seeking new dancers. Furthermore, members unanimously approved the continuity of the current board, led by Miquel Grifé, and the financial statements.
The entity highlighted its growth, having increased its membership by 20% over the last year, an impulse that the board of directors positively values for consolidating its cultural initiatives.
